Georgetown Wedding - Black Swan Country Club

A picture-perfect dollhouse, a typical Cap Cod in miniature, greeted Jennifer and Michael's wedding reception guests at the Black Swan Country Club in Georgetown, Massachusetts. But the evening was anything but typical as the couple gathered family and friends for a high-energy, celebration of their marriage (which happened the previous day over an idyllic bridge in Concord).

As guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks in the Essex Room of the Black Swan Country Club, the couple and their family adjourned to the club's grounds for wedding portraits. Against the sunset we were able to use the club's garden waterfall as a brilliant backdrop for the wedding formals. After the family departed to join the reception, we had a chance for a few more intimate portraits of the couple in the fading light that captured their charm and chemistry.

An offbeat bride, Jennifer wore an antique lace dress with a floral pattern that displayed a great vintage sensibility just perfect for an alternative New England wedding with a little flair of the traditional. It tied in nicely with the floral decor of the event, which combined colorful flowers with succulents everywhere from the centerpieces to the bouquet and even on the cake.

Later in the evening as the night air cooled down, we took some portraits of the couple out on the balcony with the bride and groom in silhouette against a brilliant flash of light that helped to light up the exterior of the Black Swan Country Club in Georgetown, Massachusetts. It was also dark enough that we could turn the fountain that overlooked the parking lot into a secret garden with a few pictures of the couple escaping the reception to spend some time alone in a romantic location doing totally normal couple stuff - like pretending you're posing for a bridal magazine.
