Jill and Ian: New England Bridals
We regretted not taking the pitchfork as we trod through the resting fields in Southeastern Massachusetts to do a bridal send-up of "American Gothic" against an old farm house. I told myself later that the window just wasn't right and that my subjects, Jill and Ian, were not the kind of people that could pull off the personas of stern-faced mid-Western farmers.
The bridal session came about about a month after the couple's wedding in Bar Harbor, Maine. What had started out as a beautiful, foggy New ngland mornign turned into a rainy afternoon in September, so our plans to explore and shoot around Avadia National Park (Ryan Richardson Photography isn't just about Massachusetts Wedding Photography, we shoot weddings throughout New England). So we scheduled their bridal photography shoot for something closer to home in Taunton, MA.
A bridal photography session, whether you're shooting in Boston or the Berkshires (or even Acadia) can be a great supplement to your wedding photography. It lets you focus on having fun and enjoying your special day while feeling like a super model a little after during a bridal session (which doesn't just have to be the bride).
